Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
After submitting your online form at the SM Foundation portal, you must log back into the system within seven (7) days to click the “Confirm” button. Failure to do this will render your application void, even if all documents were successfully uploaded.
The official application period for the SM Scholarship 2026 runs from February 1 to February 28, 2026. While some sources mention March, the SM Foundation typically closes the portal early once the quota is reached. It is best to apply before the end of February.
While the exact amount can vary based on the school and location, SM scholars typically receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, in addition to 100% full tuition and miscellaneous fee coverage. Scholars also have opportunities for paid part-time work during semestral breaks.
Unfortunately, the SM Foundation is strict with its 92% GWA requirement (for the 1st semester of Grade 12). If you do not meet this cutoff, your application may be automatically filtered out by the system. You may want to look into other programs like the DOST or GSIS scholarships which sometimes have different grade thresholds.
