The CHED CoScho Scholarship 2026 is now accepting applications for qualified coconut farmers and their dependents who want to pursue college education in priority degree programs.
The Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho) provides financial assistance to deserving students who are registered under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS).
For Academic Year 2026-2027, interested applicants may submit their application until August 31, 2026.
The program was created under Republic Act No. 11524, also known as the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act, and is being implemented through the CHED-PCA Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. 2023.

What is the CHED CoScho Scholarship?
The CHED CoScho Scholarship is a financial assistance program for qualified coconut farmers and their families.
The scholarship aims to help coconut farming families access quality education while encouraging the younger generation to pursue agriculture and other fields related to the development and modernization of the coconut industry.
The program is open to undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in agriculture, agricultural engineering, agribusiness management, agricultural economics, and other programs identified by the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA).
Who Can Apply for CHED CoScho Scholarship 2026?
To qualify for the CHED CoScho Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Filipino citizen;
- Graduating high school student or high school graduate with at least 80% GWA or equivalent;
- College student with earned academic units relevant to the identified degree programs and with at least 80% GWA in the previous semester or equivalent;
- Pass the admission requirements of the identified State Universities and Colleges (SUCs);
- Not a recipient of any government-funded financial assistance program;
- A registered coconut farmer under the NCFRS or a dependent of a registered coconut farmer;
- Have a combined annual gross income of parents not exceeding ₱300,000.
Only one family member is allowed to apply for the scholarship.
CHED CoScho Scholarship Requirements 2026
Applicants must prepare the following documentary requirements:
Birth Certificate
- Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registry or Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
Academic Requirements
- For senior high school students:
- Certified copy of grades for Grade 11 and first semester of Grade 12
- For senior high school graduates:
- Form 138
- For college students:
- Certified Copy of Grades for the latest semester or term attended
PCA Certification
Applicants must submit a PCA Certification issued by the PCA Regional Office to NCFRS-registered coconut farmers or farmworkers.
The certification may be issued upon endorsement from the PCA Provincial Office, Local Coconut Industry Development Councils (LCIDCs), small coconut farmer organizations, federations, or cooperatives.
Other Requirements
Applicants should also prepare:
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the last school attended;
- Proof of income;
- Notice of admission from the HEI offering the collegiate degree;
- Proof of membership in special groups, if applicable;
- Original Barangay Certification stating that the parents/guardians and siblings have never attended college or university, if applicable.
What Proof of Income is Accepted?
Applicants may submit any of the following documents as proof of income:
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of the applicant, spouse, parents, or guardians, if employed;
- Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
- Certificate of No Income from BIR;
- Certificate of Indigency from the Barangay;
- Certificate or Case Study from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
CHED CoScho Scholarship Benefits
Qualified scholars will receive financial assistance to help cover their educational and other school-related expenses.

The stipend includes support for food, educational tours, transportation, smaller projects, medical insurance, internet use, and communication.
Other Allowances
Scholars may also receive the following additional benefits:
- Thesis and/or OJT allowance: ₱75,000 per academic year
- Local conference/fora: ₱10,000 one-time assistance
- Laptop assistance: ₱30,000 one-time assistance during the first year of the scholarship
The total amount of these additional allowances is ₱115,000.
When combined with the regular allowances, the stated grand total is ₱195,000.

CHED CoScho Priority Courses
The scholarship gives priority to programs that can contribute directly to the advancement of the coconut industry.
According to the program guidelines, 80% of the scholarship slots will be allocated to programs identified by the PCA as directly contributing to the coconut industry, while 20% will be allocated to other fields.
