Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars Program Provides P20,000 Educational Assistance to Biliran Students
Five incoming fourth-year college students in Barangay Sto. Niño, Naval, Biliran received P20,000 educational assistance each under the Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars Program, helping them continue their studies and prepare for their on-the-job training (OJT) and other academic requirements.
The financial assistance aims to support deserving college students who are facing financial difficulties as they complete their college education.

Students Benefit from the P20,000 Educational Assistance
Among the beneficiaries is Rosalyn Bagunas, a Tourism Management student who will use the assistance for her OJT in Manila.
According to Rosalyn, the financial assistance will help cover her transportation, accommodation, and other expenses while completing her internship.
Another beneficiary, Fritzy Jane Torres, an Early Childhood Education student, said the assistance will help her purchase field study books and teaching materials needed for her student-teaching internship.
Meanwhile, Ara Mae Malinao, a Hospitality Management student, will use the financial assistance for internship requirements such as uniforms, medical examinations, and travel expenses.
Jessalyn Sabellina, an Education student, shared that the grant will help pay for her thesis and other academic requirements, while Senen Ebarsabal, a Financial Management student, plans to use the assistance for medical clearances and OJT uniforms required for training in Cebu.
Several beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude, saying it was the first time they had received any scholarship or educational assistance during their college years.
