The ASEAN Scholarship 2025-2026 is open to apply for all eligible students in the Philippines. Recently, the Ministry of Education (MOE) – Singapore announced the opening of ASEAN Scholarship for the students of the Philippines.

ASEAN Scholarship

The ASEAN Scholarship is one of the prestigious scholarships in the Singapore. This scholarship is open for students from the Philippines joining in selected Singapore secondary schools.

Students will have opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop important skills such as leadership, communication and other life skills. They can also help to promote goodwill and understanding among young people from different countries and Singapore.

Scholarship Benefits

Following is the list of benefits which a scholar will receive under ASEAN scholarship:

  • Annual allowance with hostel accommodation
  • Settling-in allowance
  • Return economy airfare
  • School fees
  • Examination fees for GCE O-Level and A-Level (once only, as applicable)
  • Subsidised medical benefits and insurance cover for accidents

Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria which a candidate must meet to apply for scholarship:

  • The candidate must be a Filipino citizen
  • Annual allowance with hostel accommodation
  • Settling-in allowance
  • Return economy airfare
  • School fees
  • Examination fees for GCE O-Level and A-Level (once only, as applicable)
  • Subsidised medical benefits and insurance cover for accidents

Duration of Scholarship

The scholarship is:

  • Valid for 4 years from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2, leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level certificate or similar qualification
  • Renewed each year based on the scholar’s performance in school

ASEAN Scholarship Timeline

  • January 6, Monday to February 21 2025 – Apply for Scholarship
  • March, April 2025 (tentative) – Attend selection tests
  • May 2025 (tentative) – Award of Scholarship
  • November 2025 (tentative) – Arrive in Singapore
