The $2,000 Essay Scholarship, Rho Brooks Women in STEM Scholarship is a simple scholarship open to female high school seniors and undergraduate students who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2022. The scholarship can be used to pay for tuition, accommodation, books, or any other educational expenses.
The winner will be announced publicly on August 30, 2022. We might get in touch with finalists before the announcement date to ask them more questions on their application. All submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the scholarship requirements in collaboration with donors. Winners will be selected depending on how well their applications performed.

Despite the fact that women make up over half of the US Labour force, only 28% of STEM workers are female. In some of the tech and engineering jobs that are growing and paying the quickest, the gender gap is much wider.
The Rho Brooks Women in STEM Scholarship seeks to encourage and support young women to pursue a degree in STEM in an effort to change this societal paradigm. The scholarship will be given to one female high school senior or undergraduate student who will be enrolled in a college or university in the autumn of 2022. It will be added to our growing list of scholarships to assist women in general and women in STEM in particular.

The deadline to apply for Rho Brooks Women in STEM $2000 Essay Scholarship is Jul 30, 2022. Winners of the scholarship will be announced on Aug 30, 2022.
The winner will be publicly announced on Aug 30, 2022. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner’s academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school’s requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
Accepted scholarship applications will be assessed by Bold.org or the scholarship giver to select the award recipient. All scholarship decisions, including, but not limited to, the selection of the winner, shall be final and binding in all respects. Bold.org retains the right not to offer a scholarship if, in its sole judgement, no qualifying applications are received.
