BARMM Scholarship 2026 | Now Accepting Applicants
The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has officially opened the BARMM Scholarship 2026 under the Bangsamoro Assistance for Science Education (BASE) and BASE-Merit Scholarship programs. The announcement was made through an official Facebook post on January 19, 2026.

BARMM Scholarship 2026
BARMM stands for Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The BARMM Scholarship Program is a government-funded initiative that aims to support deserving senior high school graduates who wish to pursue higher education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
The program is administered by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and covers two scholarship programs:
- BASE Scholarship Program
- BASE-Merit Scholarship Program
Scholarship Benefits
- BASE Scholarship: ₱8,000 monthly grant
- BASE-MERIT Scholarship: ₱20,000 monthly grant
Scholarship funds can be used to cover tuition fees, books, living expenses, clothing, and transportation.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Be natural-born Filipino citizens and residents of BARMM
- Have a Grade 12 GWA of at least 85% for STEM strand, or 90% for non-STEM strand
- Pass the BASE or BASE-MERIT qualifying examination
- Enroll in priority Science and Technology courses
- Not be a recipient of any other scholarship
- Submit necessary documents including Grade 12 report card and accomplished application forms
Documentary Requirements
Applicants must submit the following:
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (Form B1)
- Certificate of Good Health (Medical Doctor’s certification)
- Principal’s Certification
- Certificate of Residency
- Certification from Registrar’s Office (not a scholarship recipient)
Priority Courses of Study
Applicants can study at State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) or CHED-recognized private colleges with Level II accreditation. A detailed list of priority courses and application forms are available via the links below.

NOTE: Students from Sulu Province are currently not eligible for this scholarship program. This program is specifically for incoming first-year college students graduating from Senior High School this semester.
