PCAFPD College Scholarship 2026 is Open – Apply NOW
The PCAFPD College Scholarship program is now open to apply for all eligible college students in the Philippines. Recently, the Peace Corps Alumni Foundation for Philippine Development (PCAFPD) made an announcement on Facebook regarding the opening of Online Application for its scholarship program.

PCAFPD College Scholarship
The PCAFPD means Peace Corps Alumni Foundation for Philippine Development. This foundation provides scholarships for Filipino students who need financial assistance to pursue their dreams of graduating college in the Philippines.
To date, PCAFPD has provided scholarships to over 200 students and has helped them complete their studies in the fields ranging from engineering and architecture to midwifery and community development.
Types of Scholarship
PCAFPD is providing two types of scholarships and they are as follows:
- Undergraduate Scholarship
- Graduate Scholarship

- The Foundation seeks applicants who have the potential to be leaders in their communities and demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for all Filipinos.
- Your application should demonstrate this capacity and commitment.

PCAFPD Scholarship Benefits
Following is the list of benefits which a PCAFPD Scholar will receive under this scholarship program:
- Full Tuition & Other School Fees.
- Allowance for Books & Educational Supplies.
- Living Allowance per Semester.
- Applicants for graduate school must demonstrate their need for assistance with living expenses in order to be considered for this benefit.
- Reimbursement for other education-related activities (with prior approval).
- Undergraduate applicants will receive a laptop computer provided by the Foundation.
- Graduate students do not receive this benefit but can avail of up to PhP 10,000 to support their thesis.
- For receiving thesis funding graduate students must submit a funding proposal to the Vice President of Philippines Operations.

Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Scholarship
To be eligible to apply for PCAFPD Undergraduate Scholarship program, an applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines.
- Must be Current Grade 12 Senior High school students, high school graduates not currently enrolled, and first-year college students. For Grade 12 students and SHS graduates, it is your responsibility to pass the school’s entrance exam and be admitted to the course you stated in this application form by May 31st of the year you plan to enroll.
- Have a record of strong academic performance, leadership, and community service experiences.
- Demonstrate financial need. Priority is given to applicants from low-income households, generally those below the poverty line.
- Be committed to serving your community and country, following your graduation from college. This scholarship is not intended for people planning to work overseas.
- Applicants proposing fields of study with high potential to contribute to Philippine development will be given priority in the selection process.
- The following courses we do not currently support: No medical related courses such as nursing, medical technology, graduate study in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and in addition, law.
For Graduate Scholarship
To be eligible to apply for PCAFPD Graduate Scholarship program, an applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must be a Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines.
- Must have completed an undergraduate degree as a PCAFPD Scholar.
- Have at least one (1) year of professional work experience.
- Have a record of strong academic performance, leadership, and community service experiences.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be committed to serving your community and/or country, in the Philippines, following completion of your masters degree.
- Pass any qualifying tests for the school or program to which you are applying before the scholarship is granted. You may apply for the scholarship before taking the exam, but it is your responsibility to register for and pass the exam.

Documentary Requirements
For Undergraduate Scholarship
The list of documents required to apply for PCAFPD Undergraduate scholarship is as follows:
- Grades
- For current Grade 12 students: Submit your Grade 11 report card.
- For SHS Graduates (not enrolled in college and 1st-year college students): Submit your Senior High School transcript of records or Grade 12 report cards.
- Submission of Essays
- All applicants are required to submit three essays. For more information on Essay Topics, please visit scholarship application page (link given below).
- Income Certification
- Submit the latest Bureau of Internal Revenue Income Tax Return (ITR) of your parents/guardians or yours, if you’re already working.
- If you or your parents/guardians do not have an ITR, you may submit a Certificate of Indigence from your Barangay or an Affidavit of Non-filing of Income Tax Return.
- Two Recommendation Forms
- Each applicant must submit two (2) recommendation forms that describe their experience in and commitment to community service, leadership potential, and overall suitability for the scholarship. For more info, visit scholarship application page (link given below).
For Graduate Scholarship
The list of documents required to apply for PCAFPD Graduate scholarship is as follows:
- Grades
- Submit your college transcripts with the cumulative G.P.A.
- Income Certification
- Submit your latest Bureau of Internal Revenue Income Tax Return (ITR), if you’re already working. If you are not working, you may submit a Income Tax Return of the person financially responsible for you.
- Two Recommendation Letters
- One should come from a college professor, employer, or senior academic/administrative official and should highlight your academic and professional achievements, leadership potential, and overall suitability for the scholarship.
- The other should be from a barangay captain, religious leader, teacher, Peace Corps Volunteer, or civic leader (not related to you), focusing on your community service experience and leadership potential.
- Proposal for Graduate Studies
- The Board of Directors’ decision on granting a scholarship will be mainly based on your proposal. Please take time to reflect on your objectives for graduate education and provide a clear and well-prepared proposal.
NOTE: Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed.
Application Timeline
- Opening date of Online Application is June 1, 2025.
- Deadline date of PCAFPD Scholarship is September 30, 2025.
Scholarship Timeline
- Review of application by Philippine Board members and volunteers – November
- Transmittal of all complete application forms to Washington, DC – December
- Final review by Board of Directors in USA – January
- Scholarship Awards posted on this website / Award notices sent to successful applicants – March
- Deadline for scholarship acceptance – April 1
- Orientation of new scholars – April – May
