OWWA Scholarship 2025-2026 is Open to Apply

The OWWA Scholarship 2025-2026 program is now open to apply for all eligible college students in the Philippines. Recently, OWWA – the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration has announced the opening of Online Application for its scholarship programs for the school year 2025-2026.

OWWA Scholarship 2025

The OWWA Scholarship is a financial grant provided by the Overseas Workers Filipino Administration (OWWA) to eligible and deserving students to help them pursue their education without worrying about the tuition fees and costs related to their education.

The Overseas Workers Filipino Administration (OWWA) is calling in applications from all interested and eligible college students to apply for these programs and avail the scholarship benefits.

Here is the list of OWWA scholarships programs which are open to apply:

• Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
• Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)

OWWA EDSP – Education for Development Scholarship Program

The Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) provides financial assistance to qualified dependents of active OWWA members who intend to pursue a 4 to 5-year baccalaureate course in any preferred colleges or universities in the Philippines.

The DOST national examinations determine the selection of scholars for incoming freshmen. Only the top 1,000 qualifiers are considered for entry as freshmen; 600 slots are for those in 2nd to 5th year college level who are enrolled in any Philippine-based college or university.

Scholarship Benefits

An OWWA Scholar who is selected for the EDSP – Education for Development Scholarship Program, will receive a financial assistance of Php60,000.00 per school year until the completion of their four to five year baccalaureate course.

Qualifications to apply for scholarship

Following is the list of qualifications a candidate must meet to apply for EDSP scholarship:

• The applicant must be Single
• The applicant must be not more than 21 years old for Incoming 1st year college and 30 years old for 2nd to 5th year college
• Must enroll or be studying in a Philippine-based college / university
• Must be a Grade 12 graduating student with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% or its equivalent
• Students already enrolled in the 2nd to 5th year of college must have a GWA of not lower than a B letter grade or 85 percent.

OWWA CMWSP – Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program

The Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program, popularly known as the OWWA CMWSP Scholarship is a scholarship grant given to the qualified dependents or a sibling of a single active OWWA member.

Scholarship Benefits

An OWWA Scholar who is selected for the CMWSP – Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program, will receive a financial assistance of Php60,000.00 per school year until the completion of their four to five year baccalaureate course.

Qualifications to apply for scholarship

Following is the list of qualifications a candidate must meet to apply for CMWSP scholarship:

Incoming 1st Year College Students

1. The applicant must be Single
2. The applicant must be not more than 21 years old for Incoming 1st year college and 30 years old for 2nd to 5th year college
3. Must be enrolled in a Philippine-based college / university
4. Must have a GWA of 80% without failing grades or within 20% of graduating class for children of OFW
5. Qualified dependents of OFWs whose Annual Family gross income of $2,400 or Php76,000 can apply
6. He or She must not be receiving any other scholarships.

List of Required Documents

The list of documents required to apply for the scholarship is as follows:

• A Proof of Identity
• A Proof of Grades from the Previous School
• Photocopy of Birth certificate
• 2 X 2 ID Picture with Name Tags (2 pcs)
• Photocopy of Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)
• A Original Copy of Affidavit of No Child / Sibling Dependent
• Photocopy of Proof of Enrollment

OWWA Scholarship Application Period

The online application for OWWA EDSP and CMWSP Scholarship programs are going to open on November 4, 2024.

The deadline date to apply for the OWWA Scholarship program is November 29, 2024.
