According to PRC Decision No. 1589 series of 2022 titled “Schedule of the Licensure Exam for the Year 2023,” the March 2023 Veterinary Licensure Exam (VLE Results) will be released on March 7, 2023, two (2) working days following the exams. In previous releases of other 2023 board exam results, PRC posts from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

On March 1-3, 2023, the Veterinarian board Exam conducted tests at different examination centers in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, and Tuguegarao. The Board of Veterinary Medicine Chairman, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth D. Callanta, and its member, Dr. Maximino M. Montenegro, headed the licensure exams.

Schedule of Registration

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID as well as Certificate of Registration for the new Veterinarians will be held on the following date(s):

Initial registrants are recommended to register online via PRC official website via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Below are the registration requirements:

  • One (1) piece short brown envelope
  • Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
  • Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag

PRC added that successful examinees shall individually register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Verification of Rating

The verification of ratings and test results for the licensure exam for veterinarians provided by PRC Board of Veterinary would be available online a few working days after the posting of results.

Successful candidates can check their board examination passing rate by going to the PRC official website and using the Verification Page.

As posted, a passer shall only give the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name and last name as well as the birth-date.

Oath-Taking Ceremonies

The PRC has started to conduct face-to-face oaths to new professionals.

All successful examinees interested in attending the face-to-face mass oath-taking needs to register no later than 12:00 NN of the day before the date of the oath-taking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance. The exact date, of whether the oath-taking will be conducted face-to-face or virtual, will be provided here once announced.

Furthermore, inductees shall bring ANY of the following on the day of the oath-taking:

  • Vaccination Card
  • Negative RT-PCR results taken within 48 hours before the oath-taking

It is recommended that inductees register and confirm their attendance in the regions where they took their licensing exams and wish to register as professionals.

Those who are unable to attend the scheduled face-to-face mass oath-taking may participate in the online oath-taking or request a special oath-taking.

Veterinarian Board Exams Summary (Stats)

The veterinarian board exam is one of the PRC programs with the few examinees.

In the most current exams, which were held in September 2022, 335 out of 928 students passed. Kenny Vergara Pique received an 84.90% in the licensure exams, followed by Regina Isabelle Jaimee Ignacio Ranada, both from the University of the Philippines Los Baos. UPLB received the highest score of 88.71%.

288 out of 607 examinees passed in March 2022. Mark Lawrence Gutierrez Atienza of the University of the Philippines – Los Baos received the highest score in the exams, 85.92%, followed by Jose Eldon Dela Cruz Sumeldan of Central Luzon State University, who received 84.76%. The top performing school was the University of the Philippines Los Baos, which had a 95.00% overall passing percentage.

276 out of 720 (38.33%) examinees passed the August 2021 VLE. Gabriel Gonzaga Comota III of the University of the Philippines – Los Baos took first place in the tests with a score of 85.36, followed by Carmela Marie Bongco Lizares of the same university with a score of 84.52.

292 out of 696 (41.95%) examinees passed the February 2021 exams. Jerard Angelo Ramos Rayala of Central Luzon State University ranked first in the exams with an 86.22% rating, followed by Keighley Shayne Ycaza Wee-Ebol of the University of the Philippines Los Baos with an 85.80% rating. The University of the Philippines Los Baos was the lone university on the list of top performing schools, with an overall passing percentage of 92.45%.
