PNPA has opened admission for PNPA Cadetship Scholarship 2023


The Online Application System (OAS) for the Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) Admission Year 2023-2024 for Class 2028 officially opened on January 20, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Applicants are advised to READ and UNDERSTAND the application methods given in the PNPA’s Facebook account announcement.

The PNPA Cadetship Scholarship is a Government Scholarship Program. It is a 4-year schooling and preparation program prompting the Bachelor of Science in Public Safety degree. To be prepared for the subsequent enlistment stage, eligible cadets must take the PNPA Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) for PNPA Cadetship Scholarship.

Graduates are appointed to the Philippine National Police as Police Lieutenants, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Department of Fire Protection.

What are the Qualifications

Interested candidates must be able to meet the following requirements:

  1. Natural-born Filipino Citizen;
  2. Must be 18-22 years old before June 1, 2024;
  3. At least a Senior High School (SHS) Graduate and/or has satisfactorily complied with all the requirements for graduation before July 30, 2024;
  4. Single and has never been married nor pregnant (for females) nor has a legal obligation to support a child or children;
  5. Minimum barefoot height of 5’2” (157.47 cm) for males and 5’0” (152.40 cm) for females;
  6. Must have a NORMAL BMI (corresponding to age, height, weight and gender);
  7. Physically and mentally fit to undergo rigorous training;
  8. With good moral character (must not have been convicted of any criminal, administrative or civil case);
  9. No pending complaint and/or case involving moral turpitude or crimes against the state;
  10. Must not be a former cadet of PNPA or other service academies; and
  11. Never been dismissed from any private employment or government position for cause.

When is the Actual PNPACAT?

The examination will be on August 2023 and is subject to the approval of the CPNP. The PNPA will make an official announcement.

Where will the PNPACAT Be Held?

in the 34 testing centers across the nation. Those will be given as choices in your online application (active) sixty (60) days before the exam.

  1. A desktop/laptop computer, tablet or a smartphone with good internet connection.
  2. Scanned copies of the following:
    a. PSA (ONLY) Birth Certificate (front page only and must CLEARLY show your full name, birthdate, mother and father’s name);
    b. Passport-sized OR 2×2 picture (white background);
    c. Accomplished BMI Form (available in our website and Official FB Page, to be accomplished by a LICENSED PHYSICIAN ONLY, government or private).

How to Register?

Go to https://application.pnpa.edu.ph then click on “I Am A New Applicant”

Note: This applies to ALL applicants, regardless if you have been a previous applicant (your previous application has been removed from the system to decongest our database)

  1. You will then be redirected to the next page, carefully read the Privacy Notice and check the “I have read and understood this notice” to proceed.
  2. You will now go to the Qualifications and Prerequisites page, read carefully then click check the “I am Qualified and would like to apply.”
  3. Enter your full name (make sure not to interchange your surname, middle name and first name, check carefully before clicking “Continue.”
  4. Enter your full address and to click “Continue.”
  5. Input your birthday, gender then click “Continue.” (This page will display an error prompt if the system detects that you are either overage or underage).
  6. Enter your account details as shown. (REMEMBER, as much as possible take note/screenshot and save THESE INPUTS, as these are the ones you will use in logging-in the system).
  7. Click “Continue” to see the summary of your inputs.
  8. IF YOU ARE CERTAIN of your inputs, click “REGISTER!.” Otherwise, click “Previous” to revise/correct any information (it helps to check thoroughly your inputs before clicking). You will then see a prompt on the screen if your registration is successful. You may then click “Continue to Form.”

Grounds For Medical Disqualifications

  1. Defective Visual Perception (color blindness, nearsighted/farsighted with corrective eyeglasses or lens, nystagmus);
  2. Physical Deformities Example: bowlegged or congenital defects;
  3. Perforated eardrum, chronic sinusitis, bleeding tendencies, hemorrhoids, hernia (if not treated), varicocele, extensive skin disorders;
  4. History of heart disease, hypertension, asthma, active PTB, kidney and liver diseases, epileptic seizure disorders, major operations; communicable diseases (such as AIDS, Hepatitis, VD, etc.);
  5. Full dentures, upper and lower, Cleft lip and palate, malocclusion, Deformities of the face, Open bite, Tongue-tied, missing of four(4) anterior or front teeth & Missing of six (6) posterior/molar teeth;
  6. Tattoos or other brotherhood marks;
  7. Ear piercing for male and multiple ear piercing for female;
  8. For Females: Goiter; History of pregnancy; Presence of breast mass; Painful menstruation;
  9. Any other similar defects which may hinder in the Cadetship Training Program.

Exemption For PNPCAT

Unlike in the past, college graduates with Latin honors and senior high school graduates with the highest honors are no longer excluded from taking the exam.

Grounds for Disqualification in the Online Application

  1. When an applicant fails to meet the initial qualifications;
  2. When an applicant deliberately inputs false and/or incorrect entries in any of the fields of the online application form;
  3. When an applicant uploads any fraudulent document; and
  4. Incomplete entries not satisfying the online application requirements.

Benefits of Being a PNPA Cadet

One of the benefits of becoming a part of the PNPA Cadetship program is that you will be a public authority researcher. They provide a full scholarship grant for a long time for preparation and instruction with pay and recompenses.

  1. Full scholarship grant for four (4) years leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Public Safety
  2. Free tuition fee, clothing, subsistence and accommodation;
  3. Comprehensive Training and Education Program;
  4. Opportunity to participate in partner institution- hosted activities/exchanges i.e. Korean Police Academy, INTERPA, etc.
  5. With pay and allowances of not less than PhP35,000.00 monthly; and
  6. Opportunity to serve our country and people in permanent duty status with full benefits upon appointment as Police Lieutenant in the PNP, and as Fire and Jail Inspector in the BFP and BJMP after graduation.

2) Psychological and Psychiatric Examination (PPE);
