The Bangon Marawi Science and Technology Human Resource Development DOST-SEI Program
(STHRD) was developed in 2017 in reference to the siege of Marawi City. The Science Education Institute launched the scholarship program for the immediate family members of families affected or displaced from their villages as a result of the siege as the DOST’s service institute for S&T human resource development.

Overview
In its five years of operation, the program has supported 496 scholars at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Out of this, 367 people, or 74%, have already earned their degrees, while the remaining people are finishing them.
The Bangon Marawi Program gave the scholars resource to a learning resource center and training opportunities in addition to scholarship benefits.
The DOST-SEI announces the availability of scholarships for qualified second-year college students enrolled in priority S&T programs starting with the first semester of AY 2022–2023 in view of its successful implementation. Requirements For Eligibilty
- Be a natural-born citizen of the Philippines.
- Be a direct family member who was affected by the violence or who was forcibly removed from their Marawi community, as determined by the local government office.
- Have a 2.75 overall weighted average (GWA) across all academic areas, or a 2.75 weighted mean average across all math, science, and engineering courses taken during the first year of college.
- Be enrolled as a regular second-year student at one of MSU’s campuses—Main Campus, IIT, or LNCAT—in a DOST S&T priority program during the first semester of AY 2022–2023;
- Not a recipient of any other scholarship offered by a national government, university, or private organization; and
- Be of good character and of good health.

There are three main study placements:
- MSU-Main Campus, Marawi City
- MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT)
- MSU-Lanao National College of Arts and Trades (MSU-LNCAT)
How to Apply For Scholarship?
Once you have all the required documents; completely accomplished and scanned or have images of these; and know the above-mentioned information, you are now ready to access the Bangon Marawi Program E-Application.
Please make sure that all of the names and words are spelled completely and correctly while completing the needed information.
Step 1: Use a valid email address when signing up. You’ll receive an email for confirmation.
Step 2: Answer the questions in the Eligibility Module, which may be accessed via the link provided in the email you received. You will get a Notice of Disqualification in your email if you are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the Bangon Bangon Program.
