The Bangon Marawi Science and Technology Human Resource Development DOST-SEI Program
(STHRD) was developed in 2017 in reference to the siege of Marawi City. The Science Education Institute launched the scholarship program for the immediate family members of families affected or displaced from their villages as a result of the siege as the DOST’s service institute for S&T human resource development.
In its five years of operation, the program has supported 496 scholars at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Out of this, 367 people, or 74%, have already earned their degrees, while the remaining people are finishing them.
The Bangon Marawi Program gave the scholars resource to a learning resource center and training opportunities in addition to scholarship benefits.
The DOST-SEI announces the availability of scholarships for qualified second-year college students enrolled in priority S&T programs starting with the first semester of AY 2022–2023 in view of its successful implementation. Bangon Marawi Scholarship is now available and accepting applications. Interested applicants can apply online. Follow the application instructions in detail for the Bangon Marawi Scholarship.
